Managing Director, Activate Boston
Dan Recht (he/him) is managing director of the Activate Boston Community, where he mentors Activate Fellows in the greater Boston innovation ecosystem. As a technologist and business leader, he is dedicated to accelerating the next generation of hard-tech innovation. For the past decade, Recht worked as an executive at several startups bringing high-impact technologies to market, including hydrogen storage, deep learning, and 3D printing. Recht also has experience as a startup co-founder, as a management consultant, and in large corporations interacting with startups. Recht holds a Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University and a B.A. in physics from Princeton University.
