Science-driven ventures,
rooted in Japan

A nine-month learning experience designed to help research scientists and engineers in Japan explore the path from lab to real-world impact—before they’ve even incorporated.

In partnership with: Tokyo IPC, Japan Bureau of Science Technology & Innovation, Hakuhodo

BRIDGE—Bolstering Resources for Innovators from Developing and Growing Ecosystems—is Activate's model for reaching deep-tech founders early, when they are still based in a research lab and pre-incorporation, and biasing them toward long-term success.

Built on a decade of experience supporting hundreds of hard-tech founders, BRIDGE emphasizes entrepreneurial mindset development and practical tools for translating research into viable ventures. It is not a generic accelerator. It is tailored for researchers and engineers who are early in their commercialization journey.

The Japan program was launched as part of Japan's Global Campus Startup (GSC) initiative, funded by the Bureau of Science, Technology and Innovation, as Japan makes significant investments to develop its hard-tech ecosystem and create pathways for research-driven innovation to scale globally.
