Etosha Cave

Etosha Cave is Activate’s New York Managing Director and a scientist-entrepreneur driving climate solutions. She co-founded Twelve, where she serves as Chief Science Officer, advancing electrochemical technologies that convert CO₂ and water into high-value products—including sustainable aviation fuel. Etosha advises NREL’s Materials and Computational Sciences Division and previously conducted graduate research at Stanford University on electrochemistry, surface characterization, imaging, and materials synthesis. Earlier in her career, she supported the U.S. Antarctic Program and completed a mechanical engineering internship at Lexmark. She brings deep technical rigor, startup leadership, and mission-driven energy to New York’s hard-tech community for global climate impact.
