Dan Recht

Dan Recht (he/him) is chief fellowship officer at Activate, overseeing the team that serves fellows across Activate’s five U.S. communities. Previously, Recht was managing director of Activate Boston, where he mentored four cohorts of Activate Fellows. Before joining Activate, Dan Recht spent ten years as an executive at various startups bringing high-impact technologies to market—including hydrogen storage, AI infrastructure, and 3D printing. He has experience as a startup CEO, as a management consultant, and in large corporations interacting with startups. Recht holds a Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University and a B.A. in physics from Princeton University.
