Dan Recht

Dan Recht (he/him) is chief fellowship officer at Activate, steering the strategic direction of Activate’s flagship fellowship and overseeing the team that serves fellows on the ground across Activate’s five U.S. communities. Previously, Recht was managing director of Activate Boston, where he mentored four cohorts of Activate Fellows. Before joining Activate, Dan Recht spent ten years as an executive at various startups bringing high-impact technologies to market—including hydrogen storage, deep learning, and 3D printing. He has experience as a startup co-founder, as a management consultant, and in large corporations interacting with startups. Recht holds a Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University and a B.A. in physics from Princeton University.
