Join us for Activate’s flagship event during Climate Week 2024 in New York City. Solving the climate crisis requires breakthroughs in technology. Our Activate Fellows, community, and partners are rising to the challenge to bring transformative climate solutions to market. The Hard Tech Showcase convenes the New York deep tech climate community and spotlights technologies pioneering new pathways for decarbonization.
We are excited to welcome back Dr. Evelyn Wang, Director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), to provide opening remarks at the Hard Tech Showcase. Additionally, our event will provide the opportunity to see technology prototypes in development, hear from thought leaders in science entrepreneurship, and network with key ecosystem partners from local and federal government, academia, investors, start-ups, and industry.
This event is co-hosted with ARPA-E, Breakthrough Energy, DCVC, Foley Hoag, Mercury, Orion Industrial Ventures, and Uptake Alliance and has additional support from Urban Future Lab and Newlab.

Geologic hydrogen can be one of the most transformative solutions to accelerating our energy transition, yet it is still in the early stages of development. Activate is working with multiple partners to convene key stakeholders from research, industry, finance, and government to help support the emerging geoH2 industry.
Dr. Evelyn Wang, Director at ARPA-E, will provide opening remarks followed by an ecosystem panel on that state of geologic hydrogen moderated by Dr. Doug Wicks, ARPA-E Program Director on Geologic Hydrogen.
We will continue the important conversation on geologic hydrogen with interactive roundtable discussions and lunch and networking session.
This event is in collaboration with our partners ARPA-E, Rose Rock Bridge, and Brown Rudnick.
